SAN DIEGO -
If Norv Turner is on the hot seat, he isn't letting on.
The Chargers are in a free fall, with only a home game against the lowly Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night appearing able to stop it.
Then again, most people thought the Chargers would win at Cleveland on Sunday, but they lost 7-6. San Diego hasn't scored a touchdown in its last six quarters.
Naturally, fans are irate with Turner.
Asked if he's coaching for his job, Turner says he's doing the best job he can to get the Chargers (3-4) ready to face the Chiefs (1-6).
Turner says he hasn't had any conversations about his status with either general manager A.J. Smith or team President Dean Spanos.
