SAN CARLOS, Calif. – A driver was nowhere to be found after a pickup truck nearly tumbled off a ravine in San Carlos early Friday morning.
The crash occurred at about 2:15 a.m. on Navajo Road, west of Park Ridge Boulevard. The truck overturned and slammed into a chain-link fence, teetering over the edge of a 30-foot ravine. The fence stopped the truck from careening down into the ravine.
Responding San Diego police found no one with the vehicle. A tow truck was called out to extract the truck.
Officers were hoping to track down the owner of the truck using its plates.
