CHULA VISTA, Calif. - A driver crashed his pickup truck into a Chula Vista business Friday, but no one was inside at the time of the wreck.
The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. at a strip mall in the 1200 block of Broadway.
10News learned the driver, identified as an elderly man with a medical condition, likely hit the gas instead of the brake, sending his truck into a business that happened to be vacant at the time.
The driver was taken to the hospital. Firefighters said he did not appear to be seriously hurt.
