Truck hits motorcycle in Talmadge area, one man has life-threatening injuries

Crash occurred on El Cajon Blvd. near Altadena Ave

SAN DIEGO - A 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a truck in San Diego's Talmadge neighborhood, police said Saturday.

The crash occurred around 10:05 p.m. Friday on El Cajon Boulevard near Altadena Avenue, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

The victim, along with a 21-year-old male passenger, was hit when the Dodge truck made a left turn into a gas station they were driving by, Stafford said.

The 20-year-old suffered serious head, chest and leg injuries that are considered life-threatening. His passenger sustained a broken wrist, Stafford said.

Both were taken to a local trauma center.

The truck driver, a 28-year-old man, was not injured, Stafford said.

 Alcohol was not a factor in the collision
