SAN DIEGO - A truck struck a fire hydrant and crashed into a business in the Barrio Logan area Thursday evening, sending water nearly 50 feet into the air and causing major structure damage.

Authorities said the crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. at Main and Vesta streets.

Authorities said the driver of a Snap-on truck somehow lost control, struck at least two other vehicles and crashed into Pete's Cocktails & Dancing.

The truck went about halfway into the establishment, badly damaging the interior and causing some flooding inside.

Crews were able to stop the flow of water from the hydrant at about 5:25 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
