Trio Accused Of Robbing Deaf Woman Arrested

Police: Robbers Took $200 From Woman In City Heights Area

Police have arrested three people suspected of robbing a woman in City Heights early Friday.

The robbery took place at about 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of University Avenue and Euclid Street.

The woman told police she was walking with her boyfriend when two men came up behind her, put their hands in her pocket, taking $200 from her.

The woman, who is deaf, was able to give a better description of the suspects after communicating with a police officer who happened to be patrolling the area and also know American Sign Language.

Because of woman's description, police were able to locate the vehicle she said the suspects drove off in.

The woman was not hurt.

10News confirmed that three people are under arrest, one person was the driver of the vehicle.
