DULZURA - Downed power lines may have sparked three spot fires in the Dulzura area of southeast San Diego County Tuesday morning.
According to Cal Fire, the three blazes broke out in the 17000 block of Highway 94 sometime before 9:30 a.m. Officials said there were downed power lines in the area that had also caused outages. Firefighters suspected the downed lines likely started the fires. Winds were blowing at between 20 and 30 miles per hour in the area.
The fires were knocked down by 10:45 a.m. No structures were threatened or damaged.
Power was still out in the area. San Diego General & Electric crews were en-route. As of 11 a.m., 308 customers were without electricity.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect in most of San Diego County through Wednesday night.
