Thousands of people lined the parade route on Main Street to watch the floats go by, listen to the marching bands and honor special guests, including the family of former Chargers player Junior Seau.
Parade organizers are more than happy to see the crowded streets.
Organizer Heidi Johnson says this was a good year for the organization as far as sponsorships.
"Last year we only had three or four vendors," she said. "Now we have about 30 this year."
Local parents such as Ashley Franklin are also happy the parade is still around. She said it was a great way to save money and have a good time.
"It was a great opportunity to get up in the morning Sunday, start the day off right, and have a good free event to spend with your family," said Franklin.
