SAN DIEGO -- A teenage vehicle passenger was wounded in a car-to- car shooting early Tuesday morning in Mission Bay Park.

Someone inside a teal Chrysler 300 sedan or a Dodge Charger fired a shot at the Honda Civic in which the 17-year-old victim and three others were riding on eastbound West Mission Bay Drive near Ingraham Street around 1:30 a.m., San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

The bullet tore through the Honda's back door on the driver’s side and struck the teen in his hip. Delimitros said the victim's wound was not considered life-threatening.

The suspect vehicle was last seen on the exit ramp from West Mission Bay Drive to Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, according to the officer.
