SAN DIEGO - Friends and family of a teen motocross racer who suffered serious injuries after a crash during a race in Florida are praying for a miracle Monday.

They said 16-year-old Jantz Grodzicki was about to turn professional and on Friday, he took part in a sanctioned amateur race in Alachua, Flo. near Gainesville.

Friends said he went over a jump and lost control.

Grodzicki was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support.

On Saturday, hundreds attended a vigil in Scripps Ranch to show their support for Grodzicki. During the vigil, friends learned that Grodzicki's condition has improved slightly.
