The stabbing in the 300 block of South 31st Street was reported just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The girl and a male companion got into a fight with a group of three or four teenage girls and a teenage boy, Delimitros said in a statement. During the fight, the girl was stabbed three times in the back. She then rode off on a bicycle and went to a hospital for treatment, he said.

What sparked the brawl was not immediately reported.
