The teen was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into graffiti in Vista, according to San Diego County sheriff's Deputy Kevin Johnston.

Investigators served a search warrant at the boy's home Wednesday and found numerous items of evidence but the boy was not there, Johnston said in a statement.

He was later found on the street in possession of graffiti paraphernalia, Johnston said, adding that he was taken into custody without incident.

His name was not released because he is a minor.
