A female teacher accused of having sex with a teen who was her former student was arrested Thursday, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Kelly Watson, 34, was taken into custody Thursday morning and booked into Las Colinas Women's Detention Facility on charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, according to police.According to police, Watson met the 17-year-old male when he was a student in her class at New Haven residential school in Vista. Police said Watson was the teen's teacher at the school from September 2010 to August 2011.Watson is currently a teacher at Oceanside High School, police said.In late July, SDPD Sex Crimes detectives received information about a possible inappropriate relationship between Watson and the teen.
