SAN DIEGO - A taxi driver was robbed of his iPhone at gunpoint in the East Village neighborhood, a police officer said Saturday.
The robber allegedly threatened the cab driver with a black semi-automatic handgun in the vicinity of 10th Avenue and F Street about 11 p.m. Friday, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said. It was unclear if he had been a passenger in the car.
The suspect demanded the driver's cash, keys and phone, however only got away with an iPhone. He took off running south on 10th Avenue, the officer said.
Police described the suspect as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, about 5-foot-6 inches and 150 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
