Police: Suspicious device reported in Pacific Beach is harmless

SAN DIEGO - Crews said that a suspicious device found Wednesday at the back of a Pacific Beach McDonalds was harmless.

San Diego Fire & Rescue crews responded to 4711 Mission Bay Drive at 10:40 a.m.

10News learned that a device resembling a hand grenade was found in a planter box behind the restaurant. 

The item was deemed to be harmless by investigators.
