CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Police said a fleeing suspect plowed into a house right before robbing high school student and narrowly missing three teenage girls.
A 16-year-old Chula Vista High School student told police he was robbed of his Gucci bag and gold chain right by the school.
The driver took off, but two students told 10News the driver almost ran them over just blocks away but swerved and crashed into a nearby house on Brightwood Ave.
10News was there as the suspect was wheeled away on a stretcher after he was pulled from the car still jammed in the home.
He was yelling to our camera, “bye, I love you.”
Police tell us he suffered head injuries during the crash and was arrested and then taken to UCSD for his injuries.
