IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. - Authorities in the South Bay say they have made an arrest in a robbery Saturday at an Imperial Beach credit union.
According the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the North Island Credit Union at 1101 Palm Ave. was robbed at about 9:43 a.m.
Law enforcement helicopters were dispatched to the area and aided in a search for the suspect.
The San Diego Police Department said officers tracked the suspect down to the 700 block of Picador Boulevard where a Taser was employed to subdue him.
Officers say the man was taken to an area hospital for medical observation. His name has not been released.
