Suspect in 2005 killing arrested in Mexico, turned over to SDPD homicide investigators

SAN DIEGO - A suspect in a 2005 killing was taken into custody by Mexican authorities on Tuesday and turned over to San Diego homicide investigators.

David Huerta, 30, was booked into county jail, said Lt. Paul Rorrison of the San Diego Police Department's Homicide Unit.

Four other people were convicted in 2006 for their involvement in the March 6, 2005, killing of Javier Hernandez, 21, at 6332 Potomac St., Rorrison said.
