SAN DIEGO - Scandals have rocked the San Diego Police Department, the police chief has resigned and the city's new mayor has already found a replacement - a long-time veteran who will be the first female police chief.
A lot has happened with our local police in recent weeks - some of it good and some if it not so good. And what does the public think about it all?
In a 10News/U-T San Diego poll conducted by SurveyUSA, San Diego residents are split on what they think about the police department.
We asked folks how much confidence they have in the integrity of the police department and found that 35 percent have a lot of confidence in police, 42 percent have little confidence and 15 percent have no confidence at all.
