Small plane makes emergency landing in Valley Center

A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a Valley Center Thursday morning.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the plane landed at about 9:40 a.m. west of Valley Center and Mirar De Valle roads. The FAA said the pilot contacted air traffic controllers saying he was having trouble and had to set the plane down.

A sheriff’s department chopper located the plane, which was intact. There were no reported injuries.
