CARLSBAD, Calif. - A small plane experienced problems with its landing gear as it set down Sunday at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad.
Someone alerted Carlsbad police around 2:40 p.m. to an emergency with what was reported as an inbound single-engine Cessna, a police dispatcher said. The small plane tried to land at another airport before landing safely at Palomar Airport.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, and medics dispatched to the scene were later canceled, a fire dispatcher said.
The airport will be shut down for several hours while the NTSB investigates.
