In hopes of generating a tip that can help solve the case, authorities Thursday released an artist's rendering of one of two young men involved in the killing last month of a teenage boy on a Spring Valley roadside.

The unidentified pair, believed to be in their late teens or early to mid-20s, got into an argument with 17-year-old Jeffrey Quirino in front of a home in the 8000 block of Delrose Avenue late on the afternoon of May 23, according to sheriff's officials.

One of the men stabbed the teen, then fled with the other suspect in a late model gray or silver Hyundai Santa Fe with damage to the passenger-side front fender and bumper.

The police artist's sketch depicts the man who was behind the wheel of the SUV as the pair left the crime scene.

The reason for the disagreement that led to the killing remains unclear.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
