Sheriff's department searching for missing 73-year-old woman

World Luz Loper last seen at Spring Valley home

SPRING VALLEY. Calif. - The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing 73-year-old woman.

World Luz Loper was last seen at her home in Spring Valley at about noon Wednesday.

She has disappeared in the past and was later located in the Pacific Beach area. Loper has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia.

If you ask Loper for her age, she will smile and say "sweet sixteen," according to the sheriff’s department.

Loper is Filipino. She is about 5 feet 1inch tall and weighs about 100 pounds. Loper has short white hair done in a mohawk style and has brown eyes.

Loper was last seen wearing a black visor, a dark blue hooded sweater that zips in the front, blue jeans, black shoes and a backpack. She has been known to wear trash bags if it rains.
