Sheriff's Department: $1.3M Bonsall home possibly used for burglary operation

BONSALL - Investigators said Friday that a Bonsall vacation home worth $1.3 million was possibly used by burglars as a base for their operation.

A mother and daughter from Chicago arrived at the Bonsall home located on the 7200 block of Eagle Mountain Road shortly after 12 a.m. to find a man and a woman loading stolen items into a Lexus before taking off, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators later found stolen property inside the home with some items linked to a reported burglary in Rainbow. Guns were also found in the home, authorities said.

The burglars may have been using the home since Thanksgiving when the family was last visiting, authorities said.

The suspects, who left the scene in a silver two-door Lexus, are still at large.
