The U.S. Geological Survey says the 9:33 a.m. Wednesday quake was centered two miles northeast of the Orange County city of Yorba Linda.

The quake was initially measured at magnitude-4.5 but seismologists have since lowered the magnitude to 4.1.

A magnitude 4.4 quake centered in the same area struck late Tuesday night. It was followed a minute later by a magnitude 2.7 aftershock. No damage was reported.

10News has received e-mails and tweets from North County residents who said they felt the quakes in the area.

Yorba Linda is about 80 miles north of San Marcos.
