Sentencing was rescheduled Tuesday to May 24 for an ex-con who pleaded guilty to felony charges stemming from a series of burglaries at local day spas, salons and beauty supply businesses.

Bryon Upham, 35, was arrested in November in connection with the crime spree that targeted 27 businesses, mostly in Hillcrest, Mission Hills and San Carlos, between April and October last year. Also arrested were 28-year-old Barron McNulty -- also an ex-con -- and Cierra Correo.

McNulty and Correo pleaded guilty in March to felony charges stemming from the crimes.

Deputy District Attorney Elizabeth Furnari said Upham and McNulty snatched expensive hair and skin products from the businesses, and Correo tried to sell them on Amazon.com to unwitting customers.

Upham, who was previously incarcerated for drug convictions, pleaded guilty to four counts of receiving stolen property and single counts each of burglary, possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to possess stolen property.

McNulty pleaded guilty to four counts each of burglary and forgery, as well as receiving stolen property and conspiracy to possess stolen property. The forgery counts had to do with stolen checks and using a credit card that didn't belong to him.

McNulty previously served time in prison for burglary and identity theft, Furnari said.

Both Upham and McNulty are expected to be sentenced this month to seven years in county jail.

Correo, who the prosecutor said was Upham's girlfriend at the time of the burglaries, pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property. She was sentenced earlier this month to 210 days in county jail.
