According to prosecutors, 19-year-old Jonathan Chambers targeted residents of a Point Loma apartment building in a series of robberies.
10News was at a Point Loma apartment complex Wednesday morning when a shirtless Chambers was taken into custody in connection with the recent robbery series. He was arrested after San Diego police said they found enough evidence to press charges.
Deputy District Attorney Michael Runyon said, "When they conducted a search of the defendant's residence, they found certain items that, according to the victims, belong to them, including some Marine insignias from a uniform, some contact information and the name, address of one of the victims."
10News found a video posted on YouTube that shows a man who appears to be Chambers boasting about the items he stole -- including a chain belonging to members of a local rap group -- and referring to himself as the "Man Boob Bandit."
Several friends and family members were in court to show their support for Chambers.
"It's unfortunate that there's other larger cases going on and they're going to go after things like material items that can be replaced versus murders, rapes," said Chambers' friend James Cardosa.
Runyon said there could be more charges against him in the future.
"SDPD is working on those respective residential burglaries, but it appears right now, if I remember correctly, approximately five other incidents," said Runyon.
Prosecutors said some of the stolen items were pawned.
Chambers is awaiting sentencing for a different residential robbery, 10News learned.
