Firefighters on the ground and water-dropping helicopters helped control the blaze by about 11 a.m.
No structural damage was reported.
Tuesday's fire burned about four to five acres off Carlton Oaks Drive, near Carlton Hills Boulevard.
It burned through the wooden fence of a nearby condominium complex, but did not threaten any structures. No evacuations were issued. The cause remains under investigation.
