SAN DIEGO - San Diego police were on the lookout Monday for a man in his 20s who robbed a Cherokee Point market at gunpoint.

The robbery at the 38th Street Market at 3805 University Ave. was reported at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The man wielded a handgun as he demanded cash, then fled in a dark Acura driven by an accomplice, Delimitros said in a statement.

Police described the robber as black, around 25 and 5 feet 5, with a slim build. He wore a silver shirt and dark pants, Delimitros said.
