PINE VALLEY, Calif. - Search and rescue crews on Sunday called off a search in the Cleveland National Forest for a woman who was reported missing earlier this month.
More than 50 volunteers had been searching for 55-year-old Cynthia San Miguel in and around the forest. The search efforts were called off just before 5 p.m.
Sheriff's deputies say she had been camping in the forest illegally and was asked to move several times.
San Miguel was reported missing on March 12 and has not been seen in nearly a month. She was last seen at a camp site in the Deer Park area of Mount Laguna.
