SDSU student says new Mercedes attacked by neighbor near campus

SAN DIEGO - A San Diego State University student said he was sitting in his car outside of his house near campus early Thursday morning when a neighbor attacked his vehicle with a stick.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. in the 6300 block of Connie Drive.

The student said the man smashed out the back window of his new Mercedes and then began jumping on the car and trying to rip the door open.

The car owner told 10News that his two roommates heard the noise and ran out to help, and were able to subdue the neighbor using jujitsu that rendered him unconscious.

SDSU Campus Police and San Diego police officers arrived shortly after.

Paramedics transported the neighbor to an area hospital with what appeared to be neck injuries.
