SDPD investigate possible gang attack in Mira Mesa: Teen robbed, beaten, stabbed several times

Police: Wounds were non-life threatening

SAN DIEGO - An 18-year-old man was robbed, beaten and stabbed several times by a group of gang members in Mira Mesa, a police officer said Monday.

Eight or nine gangsters confronted the victim about his gang status before attacking and robbing him in the 9000 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said. Police did not disclose what was taken.

Delimitros said the victim's wounds were not considered life- threatening. The police department's Gang Unit was called to investigate, he said.
