SD Libraries Once Again Open On Mondays

Expanded Hours Due To $16.5M Budget Surplus

San Diego’s 35 branch libraries will again be open on Mondays beginning today.

The expanded schedule is due to the $16.5 million budget surplus, reported 10News.

Last month, Mayor Jerry Sanders expanded the hours of operation at the city’s 55 recreation centers as well.

Sanders says the budget surplus happened because of reforms he put in place, along with better than expected tax revenues.
