SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Association of Governments will hold a public meeting Wednesday to discuss a project that would expand trolley services in San Diego.
The $1.7 billion, 11-mile project will extend trolley routes from from Old Town to La Jolla and University City.
This includes at least eight new trolley stops on Tecolote Road, Clairemont Drive, Balboa Avenue, Nobel Drive, areas near UCSD and Westfield UTC Transit Center.
If all goes well, construction will begin in 2015.
Wednesday's meeting is open to the public and will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the La Jolla Country Day School.
