SAN DIEGO - Hawaii Island police confirmed that a 16-year-old San Diego girl who disappeared during a family vacation on the Big Island has been found safe.
Police said Sunday that Jasmine Keilani was found in Kona Saturday night and has been reunited with her family.
She was last seen on the morning of Tuesday, July 8 in Kailua-Kona. Police told 10News on Saturday that she had been classified as a runaway.
Officers say the teen's mother reported her as a runaway Tuesday. They also said the Torrey Pines High School student called her mother Wednesday to say she was OK.
