SAN DIEGO - Police said they were on the lookout for a man and woman who carjacked a woman Friday in the Talmadge area of City Heights.

The culprits approached the 54-year-old woman in 4500 block of Winona Avenue around 6:40 p.m. and punched her several times, took her keys and then drove off in her silver 2006 Mercedes-Benz C230 sedan, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford, who said the woman complained of head pain.

The car's California license plate number is 6RHB253, he said.

The man was described as being in his 30s with a medium build and short black hair and the woman as in her 20s with a pony tail, according to Stafford. Both were said to be black.

More detailed descriptions were not available.
