SAN DIEGO - San Diego police Friday marked the 12-year anniversary of an unsolved homicide case involving a 16-year-old boy by renewing their call for the public's help.
Lynn Dale Bell was fatally shot on June 15, 2001, while waiting at a bus stop near the Willie Henderson Sports Complex in the Mountain View neighborhood, according to San Diego police.
A man approached Bell on foot and fired several rounds at him, police said. A female playing basketball in a nearby park was also struck but survived.
Crime Stoppers is offering rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
