SAN DIEGO - A woman who thought she was giving a man a ride home wound up losing her car, a San Diego police officer said Sunday.

The woman in her 40s met the man in Tina's Bar in Oak Park, said Officer David Stafford. The man asked for a ride home.

"During the ride, the suspect made physical advances toward the victim," Stafford said. "She refused his advances. He then punched the victim and forcibly pulled her out of her car and drove away in her car."

The car was described as a black, 2012 Chrysler four-door, California license 6TMG077. The suspect was described as black, in his 20s to 30s, 5 feet 11 inches tall, thin, wearing a gray shirt and jeans.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the 1 a.m. carjacking, Stafford said.

Anyone with information was urged to call San Diego police at 619-531-2000.
