SAN DIEGO - Two gunmen and two unarmed accomplices robbed two men in Hillcrest Thursday night, taking their wallets and cell phones, police said.
San Diego police Officer David Stafford said the robbery occurred in the area of Richmond and Robinson avenues and was reported at 11:42 p.m.
The robbers, all men in their 20s, fled on foot, he said in a statement.
10News spoke to one of the victims, who wanted to remain anonymous.
"We were just chatting on the street next to my car, and we saw a couple guys come up from behind me and then met up with another one or two. They were behind you… and then they kept walking down the street, turned around and came back toward us, pulled a couple guns on us, started pushing us around, telling us to empty our pockets and basically grabbing stuff out of our pockets and a couple of them hit me from behind, " he said.
The victims said the men took off running down an alley.
Anyone with information was urged to call San Diego police at 619-531-2204.
