SAN DIEGO - Authorities said a 58-year-old man is recovering at a hospital after he was struck by a pickup truck Saturday night while crossing a street in Oak Park.
According to San Diego police Officer David Stafford, the crash at 54th Street and Westover Place was reported at 9:36 p.m.
Police said a 57-year-old driver was headed northbound on 54th Street at Westover Place in his pickup truck when the 58-year-old man walked into the path of the truck and was hit.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with a broken femur.
Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.
