San Diego County gasoline price resumes decreasing; Drops to $3.77 a gallon

SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell four-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.775, the lowest amount since July 21.

On Monday, the price was unchanged after 48 straight days of decreases. That's the longest series of price drops since 2008, when the price fell for 91 straight days, from Sept.16 through Dec. 15.

The average price is 2.4 cents less than it was one week ago and 44.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 6.8 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
