SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased Friday for the 46th consecutive day, falling four-tenths of a cent to $3.786, its lowest amount since July 22.

The average price has dropped 93.9 cents over the past 46 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Thursday, after rising 54.7 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.725 on Oct. 8, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.2 cents less than one week ago and 62.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.8 cents more than one year ago.
The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 91-day streak from Sept. 16-Dec. 15, 2008.
