SAN DIEGO - Some Pacific Beach residents said their neighborhood is dangerous because their street lights are out.

10News found an entire block in the dark due to a street light outage Wednesday night.

Sam Hudson, who has lived in Pacific Beach for seven years, said he doesn't like it when his girlfriend walks home alone, especially with the non-functioning street lights.

"Walking home alone in the dark can be a little nerve-wracking," Hudson told 10News.

Dozens of residents said they reported the street light outages on the city of San Diego's "Get It Done" app months ago, but the repairs have not been made.

In December, Team 10 uncovered an audit showing the city's goal is to repair broken lights in 12 days or less.

The audit committee briefed the entire San Diego city council on the issue Wednesday.
