SAN DIEGO -  

A Riverside County man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of raping an acquaintance in Fallbrook.

Detectives arrested 28-year-old Fidel Perez Bernal at his home in the 31000 block of Silex Court in Winchester about 7:30 a.m., sheriff's Sgt. Jose Montion said.

The alleged rape occurred Jan. 13, according to Montion, who declined to say more about the crime.

Bernal was booked on suspicion of two counts of sexually assaulting an unconscious person and and is being held in Vista in lieu of $150,000 bail, pending arraignment scheduled for Friday afternoon.
