Authorities announced an additional $1,000 in reward money Thursday for information leading to an arrest in the death of a TV cameraman killed on a North County street a month ago, possibly in a hit-and-run crash.

The family of Los Angeles resident Michael Burke, 25, already has offered $10,000 to anyone who can lead investigators to the person or persons who fatally injured him.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers added to the fund this week in an attempt to spur a break in the case.

A newspaper deliveryman found Burke's body about 3 a.m. Oct. 18 in a southbound lane on Carlsbad Boulevard, near Breakwater Lane, according to police.

The freelance camera operator had just left a hotel "wrap party" for "Renovate My Family," a Fox Broadcasting reality show that had been shooting in Oceanside.

He died of blunt-force cranial and thoracic injuries, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.

Officials urged anyone with information in the case to call (888) 580-TIPS.
