SAN DIEGO - Some North Park restaurant worker said they had a gun pulled on them by a thief Sunday night.
The San Diego Police Department said the incident started at around 9 p.m. at the Carnita's Snack Shack on the 2600 block of University Avenue in San Diego.
Investigators said a man bought some food at the restaurant and then returned an hour later accusing one of the cooks of taking his cell phone.
The man went around to the back of the business, entered the kitchen and began frisking the cook and going through his pockets, police said.
The cook told police that the man took his wedding ring before running away from the scene.
According to officers, the cook, along with two other restaurant coworkers, chased after the man until the man pulled out a handgun and threatened them.
The restaurant workers said they backed off and man continued running away.
