CHULA VISTA, Calif. - An investigation was continuing Monday into the death of a woman who was struck by a vehicle that she may have just gotten out of in Chula Vista.

The woman was struck Sunday night near Bay Boulevard and H Street, police said. Officers at the scene performed CPR on the woman until paramedics arrived and took her to UC San Diego Medical Center, where she died.

Her name was not immediately released.

"Investigators are trying to determine how the victim exited the vehicle and was struck by it," according to police.
