Pro-choice women's group announces endorsements

SAN DIEGO - A San Diego-based political action group announced Wednesday its endorsement of 10 pro-choice candidates.

Run Women Run, a group that focuses on recruiting and training pro-choice women for office, endorsed the following candidates:

Susan Davis for U.S. Congress 53rd District

Betty Yee for State Controller

Toni Atkins for State Assembly 78th District

Shirley Weber for State Assembly 79th District

Lorena Gonzalez for State Assembly 80th District

Susan Guinn for San Diego County Tax Assessor-Clerk

Mona Rios for  National City City Council

Pat Aguilar for Chula Vista City Council

Norma Hernandez for Southwestern Community College Board of Trustees

Maria Senour for San Diego Community College Board of Trustees

"We are thrilled to support such an impressive and dynamic group of women," stated RWR member Kirsten Clemons in a press release. "We are confident that, if elected, these women will fight to advance the unique interests of their female constituents."

RWR was formed in 2008 and currently has about 300 members in San Diego County.
