LOS ANGELES - A ticket with all six numbers in Wednesday's multi-state Powerball lottery drawing was sold at a gasoline station in Milpitas, a California Lottery official announced.
One ticket each with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, were sold at a 7-Eleven in El Segundo and at a liquor store in Modesto, the official said.
It was not immediately known if there were any tickets with five or six numbers sold outside California.
The numbers drawn were 1, 17, 35, 49, 54 and the Powerball number was 34. The jackpot was $400 million, the sixth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.
The drawing was the 16th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 31.85.
The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
