BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. - All power has been restored Saturday afternoon to residents of Borrego Springs after severe thunderstorms rocked the desert region of Borrego Springs on Friday.
San Diego Gas & Electric says severe weather was to blame for nearly 2,800 customers losing power before 1 p.m. Friday.
That left many people to cope without air conditioning with the oppressive triple digit-heat and humidity.
The outage affected residents in Borrego Springs, Canebrake and Shelter Valley.
Charles, a resident of Borrego Springs, tells 10News that strong thunderstorms damaged several power poles in the area and left roads a muddy mess.
